2011 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio

The Wireless Innovation Forum (the old SDR Forum, for those that are wondering) has announced that registration is open for its “2011 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio” (SDR’11 – WInnComm).  The organization bills this conference as:

“The premier event for the reconfigurable radio community.”

and

“… the only event devoted to the advancement of reconfigurable radio technologies from research through deployment.”

Workshops at the conference will include:

  • A two-day event “The Future of Software Defined Radio, Cognitive Radio and Dynamic Spectrum Access: Understanding the Requirements, Capitalizing on the Opportunities”
  • “The Future of Whitespace Communications”
  • Regulatory
  • Open Source
  • QoS & Mobility in Cognitive Communications (QMCC’11) co-located at SDR’11-WInnComm

The dates for the event are Nov. 29 – Dec. 2, 2011.  The venue is the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C.

They’ve put together some interesting keynote speakers and a good looking program.
