The folks over at PrismTech (performance-critical middleware and related services) are putting together an interesting looking Software Defined Radio webcast:
“This webcast will examine various approaches for developing portable SCA waveform applications using FPGAs. This will include a discussion on the MHAL (Modem Hardware Abstraction Layer) / MOCB (MHAL On Chip Bus) standards as recommended by SCA 2.2.2 and contrasting them with alternative approaches such as implementing SCA waveform components directly in hardware on the FPGA using the latest FPGA tools and middleware designed to support rapid and portable development in an SCA compliant manner. The webcast will also discuss how future versions of the SCA such as the new SCA Next standard will more fully address these issues.”
The webcast will be presented on September 22, 2011. They’re holding two sessions to make it more accessible for both the Americas and Europe. Session 1 is scheduled for 13:00 GMT. Session 2 will be held at 18:00 GMT.
I’m registered. I hope that you are too.
