FS/Bridgeway - Foresight's Co-simulation Facility

FS/Bridgeway is a cooperative simulation backplane and software development kit (SDK) that facilitates the linkage of Foresight models with other simulations and applications over networks. Using FS/Bridgeway, data flows in models can be connected to external programs over TCP/IP sockets without the model developer being encumbered with the details of socket programming.

FS/Bridgeway can be used to interface to either un-compiled Foresight models or CoderC++ compiled models.

Example applications of FS/Bridgeway include:

• Linking Foresight models to special purpose simulators for co-simulation.
• Developing and attaching a specialized graphical user interface to a compiled Foresight model to control simulation configuration and execution.
• Linking Foresight models to HDL simulations for co-simulation or to provide HDL model behavior for a model component.
• Creating distributed interactive simulations (DIS).
• Connecting host workstation simulations to embedded computer systems.
• Linking a Foresight control model to application implementations in order to create a complete and usable system prototype.
• Connecting Foresight models into HLA federations.

FS/Bridgeway supports a complete complement of Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer communications models giving the model developer the flexibility he/she needs.

FS/Bridgeway provides systems engineers and designers the capability to rapidly construct distributed cooperative simulations and operational prototypes of their complex systems.
